Dr. Janice Gobert, CEO of Inq-ITS and Professor at Rutgers Graduate School of Education, delivered the closing keynote at Fall CUE 2024, focusing on "AI-Based Teaching and Learning: Benefits, Ethics, Equity & Safeguards." In her keynote, she discussed the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in education, emphasizing its capacity to personalize learning, enhance real-time assessments, and support teachers in STEM instruction. She also described how Inq-ITS’ AI supports teachers’ instruction and assessment as well as how it supports students’ robust learning of science.
Dr. Gobert also highlighted the importance of ethical responsibilities of AI and safeguards to protect student data and maintain transparency in AI applications within educational settings. Lastly, she stressed the need for equitable access to AI-driven educational tools to ensure all students benefit from technological advancements.
